Hello F1 fans! As promised, I’ve written a post all about the drastically different 2017 Formula 1 cars!
WHY IS THERE SUCH A CHANGE?
Some thought the last season was very exciting, but some didn’t. The sport received lots of complaints from fans saying that the races are one sided and boring, and the engines are very quiet. The drivers even had their say. They complained that they can’t push very hard in the race because they will damage their sensitive tyres. Luckily, the FIA listened to these complaints and addressed the issue by promising faster and more dramatic looking cars.

In 2016 the Mercedes F1 WO7 Hybrid won 19 of 21 races
UP TO 5 SECONDS FASTER!
A lot of the modifications have helped make the cars a lot faster and more fun to drive. One thing is the tyres. This year, the tyres are wider, bigger and more mean and scary looking. The width has increased by about 25 percent from last year. The also gives the driver more grip through corners. And yes, the drivers can go fast on these tyres without damaging them.
NOW THAT LOOKS LIKE A RACE CAR!
The cars have become much wider and heavier. The witch has increased fromm 1800mm in 2016 to 2000mm in 2017. The maximum weight has increased from 705 kg to 722kg to accommodate the bigger tyres and other changes.
