Welcome back F1 fans! Today was the first race of the 2015 Formula One Season. Coming into the race, Lewis Hamilton was the favorite to win. He started on pole followed by his teammate Nico Rosberg. On the second row was Felipe Massa. Next to him was his big rival Sebastian Vettel. There  were 3 drivers making their formula one debut. First it was Max Vesstappen, Felipe Nasar and Carlos Sainz jr. 2 of them impressively finished in the points.

You get points when you finish tenth or better. To win the championship, you need to get the most amount of points. When the race started, we lost the first car of the race at turn 1. Slowly the cars came in for pitstops. Weirdly, most of them were ether slow or had problems. I found that surprising because all the pit crews did so much practice over the winter.

Later in the race, the 2 Mercedes cars pulled away from Vettel and Massa, by the end of the race, they lapped cars up to fifth place! In the end Hamilton was first, Rosberg second and finally making an impressive debut for Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel finished in third. A very low 11 out of 20 cars finished the race.
